Sharp, prickly and pointy things in nature. Nature photography with a cranky photographer.

Everyone always takes pictures of beautiful flowers, cute butterflies, fall leafs and colorful birds - I've done my share of it, but today I was sick of it.

At first, I wanted to say in this hub that "Life is not all pretty, neither is nature. There are days when we want to cry and scream." But as I walked in my yard, breathing slowly to calm my nerves after a difficult day, I saw something different.

When we learn to appreciate every day - good or bad - we see beauty in everything that surrounds us. A sharp thorn, a dry flower, and a decaying tree: all of them are beautiful in their own way. A sharp thorn shows us strength in protecting its plant, a dry flower is a promise of life as it drops new seeds into the ground, and a decaying tree gives food and home to many creatures. How could such harmony not be beautiful?

When our days are filled with family responsibilities, busy work, worries about money and concerns about health, we have to find the same peaceful harmony in our lives as in nature.

Look with me at some nature photographs and let's find blessings in our every day.

Unique views on photography are often very cool. Thanks for a collection of some interesting photographs that make me think a little more about different angles and things to take pictures of myself.
